TetraHydro Solutions is part of an emerging industry that generates carbon credits utilizing local oilfield service providers to plug orphan and abandon wells to generate high quality carbon credits utilizing the American Carbon Registry’s (ACR) methodology.
Unlike most other companies that utilize their own expensive and maintenance intensive oil & gas equipment, we partner with local oilfield service companies, thus minimizing costs and maintenance needs, allowing for efficient project execution.
We will also utilize aerial (via drone) and satellite mapping to create a comprehensive database of target wells for ground crew testing.
The carbon credits generated from these rigorously verified projects are then sold to organizations seeking to offset their climate impact, positioning TetraHydro as a leader in methane reduction and a valuable contributor to the carbon credits market.
The company has engaged an experienced grant writer to apply for federal and state grants to help offset well-plugging costs while still earning carbon credits. Applications will be submitted across five key states: Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Carbon markets provide financial incentives that complement other private, philanthropic, state and government-led initiatives, reducing greenhouse gas emissions more quickly.
